Hello Sixers! That's right, it's your weekly dose of Six Sentence Sunday; your opportunity to get a glimpse of my world! And you can get a glimpse of several other worlds if you visit the Six Sentence List of authors.
In this snippet of The Bone Flute, Jozsef has just realized Rain is a relative of the woman he loved in Hungary in 628 AD; the woman who laid the curse on him. He needs Rain's help to break the curse, but he's afraid she knows the story of his betrayal and will refuse to release him from the spell.
His heart plummeted to his feet at her dismissal. She didn’t seem to realize his spirit was locked in a twilight existence connected to the Bone Flute, the artifact made from his own body and in her possession. Although they’d touched and seemed solid to each other, none of the other people in the room had seen him. Even now, the few people in the entryway took no notice of a tall man in knickers and boots standing among them.Dark humor rolled through Jozsef and he snorted again, this time ruefully. If Rain kept the Bone Flute, she’d be keeping him, however inadvertently.
It's good to be kept! ;) Stay tuned and happy reading!
